Orchids Education Society, Nagpur established, “Arts Commerce College” at Ralegaon Dist. Yavatmal on 1 st of August 1990 with Junior and Senior wings. Initially, the college was started in the rental building, but immediately after two years the Society purchased a piece of 8 acres land for the college and constructed its own building.

The new building of the college is situated in the fresh, natural and pleasant atmosphere. It is adjacent to kalamb to Ralegaon road. It is just one and a half kilometres away from Ralegaon.

The college was initially granted permission to run B.A. and B.Com three year degree courses on non-grant basis. The number of optional subjects in the Arts faculty was limited. In the opening years of the college 83 students were admitted to the Art faculty, and 41 students were admitted to the commerce faculty. Today, i.e. in the year 2017-18 Arts faculty has 398 students, and Commerce faculty 195 students. The college shows its progress as per the norms laid down by the university. By fulfilling required conditions the Arts and Commerce both the faculties received grants in 1996. Considering the importance of some optional subjects, the Society started new subjects such as Home Economics, Rashtrasant Tukdoji Vichardhara and English Literature from the session 2007-08. The Rashtrasant Tukdoji Vichardhara, as an optional subject, is very popular among the students, and this is the only college in the State and in S. G. B. Amravati University, which has started this subject.

College Campus

Arts and Commerce college is situated at Kalam road, Ralegaon, Dist yavatmal. Ralegaon is 45 kms away from Yavatmal, Wardha and Hinganghat. The campus of the college is spread in 8.24 Acres of land. The college has its own building with different departments such as, Humanities, Languages, Commerce, Library, Sports and Games and other essential facilities.
